For love, for life.

This is society for everything, if you are considered “conventionally attractive” than whatever you do it’s appealing. However if you are considered to be less attractive than whatever you do it’s wrong.

This deserves so many notes. I have heard all of the black quotes behind my back. It’s really demoralizing.

Same thing if the genders were reversed. I hate double standards.

Everything seems so perfect.

The sun is shining - gleaming through my window as it bounces off the tiny specs of dust floating in the stagnant air of my bedroom.

The air outside is warm. The wind gently blows through the grass as the bees help themselves to the blooming flowers’ nectar.

The birds are singing high in the trees - chirping their melodies to one another as they move from branch to branch. The frogs near the creek vivaciously join in on the chorus of chirps.

A tiny spider, no larger than the point of a pen, sits patiently in its fragile web amidst the ivy, waiting for his unsuspecting prey to mangle his beautiful creation just so he can have a meal.

The smell of freshly cut grass lingers in the breeze as it blows my hair over my shoulder.

I am lifeless, yet more alive than I’ve ever felt.

I am quiet, although my mind is racing.

I breathe in the fresh spring air.

Everything seems so perfect.

If only you were here with me.

I’m so done with this site…

Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré, daughter of French wildlife photographers Alain Degré and Sylvie Robert, was born in Namibia. During her childhood she befriended many wild animals, including a 28-year old elephant called Abu and a leopard nicknamed J&B. She was embraced by the Bushmen and the Himba tribespeople of the Kalahari, who taught her how to survive on roots and berries, as well as how to speak their language.
